Is this the course I need?
The Child Abuse Workshop is also known as: Identification and Reporting of Child Abuse Workshop, Abuse Prevention Workshop, Child Abuse Prevention Workshop , Mandated Reporter Workshop, as well as other names. The Violence Workshop is often known under other names: Safe Schools Against Violence in Education, SAVE Workshop, S.A.V.E. Workshop, Violence Prevention Workshop, and many others.. These are simply different names for the exact same courses.

Do I need to take the Violence Workshop?
If you are applying for a teaching certificate then you are required to take this workshop.

Do I need to take the Child Abuse Workshop?
It is required if you are in any of the following professions:

Medical examiner Mental health professional Optometrist Osteopath Peace officer Physician Podiatrist Police officer Provider of family or group family daycare Psychologist Registered nurse Registered physician assistant Resident School official including (but is not limited to): Administrator or other school personnel required to hold a teaching or administrative license or certificate Guidance counselor Nurse Psychologist Social worker Teacher School-age child care worker Social services worker Social worker Substance abuse counselor Surgeon
